Jim joined our team in May 2002 after working with us on a consulting basis since 1998. He has served companies as a technology consultant in enterprise software for many well-known software companies and venture capital firms. Jim was previously a Director of Competitive Intelligence of Oracle Corporation, and has held management positions at a number of well-known hardware and software firms including Compuware (Uniface), Computer Associates (Ingres), Elevon (Revere/Walker Interactive) and the former Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of HP/Compaq). Jim has authored numerous textbooks on software and software consulting, and has served as the applications editor for Java Developer's Journal and XML Developer's Journal. He is a Board Observer for Pavilion Technologies and Vericept Corporation. Jim holds a B.S. in Management from Babson College.
