PharmaResearch was a full service contract research organization (CRO) serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries. PharmaResearch designed, monitored and managed U.S. and international clinical trials, and provided data management, biostatistical, regulatory and information system services as well as other ancillary support services. PharmaResearch's business focus was to provide services for Phase II through Phase IV clinical trials, especially in the areas of respiratory and infectious diseases.
Our Role
Fund V led the Series A financing by investing $7.0 million in exchange for 35.0% of the Company’s fully-diluted equity post financing. David Chandler and Arda Minocherhomjee represented Fund V on the PharmaResearch Board.
Dave and Arda played an active role by providing strategic guidance, hiring top management, including a CEO and CFO, and selling the company.
Results
PharmaResearch was acquired by Inveresk Research Group on July 31, 2003 for
$37.1 million.
